Join artist Mati Araoz for an immersive sonic workshop exploring the hidden soundscapes of the Grow Farm.

We’re delighted to collaborate with Site Gallery to host a Sounding the Garden workshop on our Grow Farm space. Led by artist, Mati Araoz, you are invited to engage with the plants and organisms that inhabit the space through listening, recording, and collaborative sound-making.

You will be guided through the process of creating your own sonic environments using contact microphones and sound recording equipment. Through close listening and experimentation, you’ll uncover the subtle vibrations and rhythms of plant life.

The workshop also reflects on the journeys these species have taken to arrive at the allotment, considering themes of migration, colonial histories, and the movement of plants across different environments.

Together, you’ll create layered auditory compositions shaped by the site and its living histories.
