Dale’s Story So Far

Before Grow I was looking for jobs and apprenticeships. I attended a Job Centre session and heard about Grow. On the first day I felt quite skeptical of the program, planting flowers and such, and I also felt awkward since I hadn’t met new people since the start of college.

Grow however has definitely helped me. I grew in confidence as I learned about small talk and how to write a good CV and I learnt that I had skills that I didn’t even realise I had.

For me, being on the farm really stood out. I loved doing that sort of work as it’s fun and simple. It’s also nice to be around alpacas.

I got a job in the middle of the program so I can now help out with rent! Ih the future I am looking into services like The Army or the RAF which is where I want my life to go.
