Teaming up with work colleagues to volunteer is an excellent way to enhance skills, make a positive impact, and gain deeper insights into a local community. Not to mention, it’s the perfect opportunity to step away from the office!

Whether your team are need of social therapeutic horticulture or just some quality time outdoors working on a physical project, we are here to support you.

We offer opportunities on our Grow Farm for volunteer groups to be surrounded by nature, support our work and enjoy themselves. We are in the process of transforming the space into a beautiful therapeutic, training, and productive garden for many to access and enjoy.

Spending time in nature is proven to boost wellbeing. Our Grow Farm is a fantastic place to immerse yourself in nature and connect with colleagues, all while taking a break from the usual work or office setting. As well as helping to fulfil your corporate social responsibility (CSR) needs, volunteering at Grow offers many benefits such as:

We welcome varying sized groups. For groups of 4 to 10 people the charge is £35 per person.

For groups of 10, we offer a discount at £320.

Corporate volunteer days are usually Thursday, between March and October. Other dates may be possible depending on Grow staff availability.

Lunch is not included but we can offer food prepared by The Rhubarb Shed Cafe. Please contact us to explore options.

As a charity, it’s essential for us to operate sustainably and cost-effectively. We charge a fee for corporate volunteering days to cover the cost of staff time needed to plan, prepare and guide these activities, ensuring everything is conducted safely and your employees are well cared for.

The cost also covers some Personal Protection Equipment and tools.

9:30am – arrival + task and health and safety briefing
10am – begin the task(s)
Mid morning break
Continue with task
12:30pm to 1:30pm – lunch break
Afternoon activity
3:30pm – departure

Weeding
Produce / seed harvesting
Edging and trimming
Planting
Mowing and hedge trimming
Composting and mulching
General maintenance
Other gardening projects

Grow staff member to guide your day and provide training
Tools to carry out the tasks
Public liability insurance for all activities
Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits to keep the energy levels up!
