Sponsored walk 2023 – Celebrating 5 years of Grow!

Sheffield Round Walk 22nd April
Grow exists to inspire hope and unlock potential in young people. We believe that every young person has great potential to positively impact and contribute to society.
We work to unlock that potential through delivering an employment coaching programme and developing a supportive community. Joining in with this sponsored event will help raise funds to further our impact with the young people of Sheffield – more mentoring relationships walking and talking, more young people getting in work, more young people being supported longer term as they navigate work and whilst staying connected with Grow.
So, we’re running a sponsored walk around the Sheffield Round Walk. We would love you to get involved and do all, or part, of the walk to engage with both us and the beautiful, nature filled spaces that we work in day to day!
What will the walk involve?
We’re doing the Sheffield Round Walk to celebrate turning 5 this year!
Some of us will be doing the full 15 miles and some the last leg, which is around 4miles or 6km. The walk will start and finish in Endcliffe Park.
This last leg will therefore be from the Norfolk Arms, on Ringinglow Road down to Endcliffe Park.
To make the last leg as kid friendly as possible we’re going to do the route in reverse. The full walk takes place in leafy parkland, woodland streams, and pretty suburbs. It connects central Sheffield with its surrounding countryside, showcasing the natural beauty, greenery and wildlife that the city is lucky to have within its boundaries.

How to Fundraise
Create a Just Giving page
The simplest way is to ask friends, family or colleagues to sponsor you. Create a Just Giving fundraising page using the link below.
Step 1.
Go to our approved fundraising website, Justgiving. Select Grow as your charity
Step 2.
Follow the instructions on Justgiving to set up your page.
Step 3.
Choose your fundraising target (the higher it is, the more we can help young people)
Step 4.
Tell people why you are fundraising for Grow and how their donation can make a difference to the lives of young people!
Step 5.
Once your page is set up, email the link to your friends, family and colleagues, link to your Facebook page and tweet about it. It’s a good idea to ask those likely to sponsor you with a larger amount first to encourage other sponsors to be just as generous with their gifts.
Make a donation
If you would prefer to not ask for sponsorship or do any fundraising, you can make a £30 donation instead when registering. Many people prefer to do this, and it’s really easy and straightforward.
Use Social Media
Share photographs and videos capturing your journey and explain why you’re supporting Grow. Stay active on our social media pages for more activities like our:
