Grow Training
A four‑week programme empowering 16–24 year olds to boost wellbeing, build connections and grow real‑world skills.
Research shows connecting with nature is good for us, which is why Grow Training takes place outdoors and centres on nature‑based and gardening activities.
Over four weeks, young people build their wellbeing, strengthen social connections and develop key employability skills. Using a therapeutic coaching approach, we focus on the essential skills that help people thrive in life and at work, including teamwork, problem solving, communication and resilience. Young people take part in a mix of one‑to‑one, group and practical nature‑based sessions.
After completing the programme, every trainee is offered the chance to interview for our paid work placement, Grow Employment.
“To be honest I hadn’t expected an improvement on almost everything in my life from this programme, as someone who struggled with anxiety for many years, being able to be social and focus on tasks helped bring me out more and made me feel much less anxious and much more confident.” – Mason, Grow trainee
