OUR MISSION
BVSC supports, promotes and coordinates an effective voluntary
and community sector in the London Borough of Barnet to enhance
the quality of life for all. BVSC is Barnet’s local Council
of Voluntary Service (CVS). We are a membership organisation for
local voluntary and community groups whom we support through training,
advice, information sharing, and networking.
We
•
offer support and training in how to set up a community group, governance,
fundraising, financial management, and partnership working;
• run a number of voluntary sector networks;
• have a dedicated Children and Young People’s sector
team;
• run the Barnet Volunteer Centre
• co-ordinate subregional working with our neighbouring boroughs
